This Cookies Policy explains how AppraisePoint Inc. (“AppraisePoint”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies
(collectively, “Cookies”) on our websites and within the AppraisePoint Service.
Cookies help us provide core functionality (like staying signed in), remember your preferences, and protect the Service. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
1) What Cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (like local storage and pixels) may store or access information on your device for similar purposes.
2) Types of Cookies we use
A. Strictly necessary (essential)
These are required for the Service to work and cannot be switched off in our systems:
- sessionid: keeps you signed in. It expires after 4 hours.
- csrftoken: protects our forms against cross-site request forgery. It lasts up to one year.
- messages: may briefly hold a confirmation or error message between two pages.
B. Preferences / functionality
- django_language and apx_lang_explicit: remember your language choice for up to one year.
- Browser storage: inside the app, we keep working data such as drafts, cached lists, and display preferences in your browser's local storage so pages load quickly and your work is not lost. It is not used for tracking.
C. Analytics and advertising
We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If we add them, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires.
D. Third-party Cookies
- Google reCAPTCHA runs on our sign-up and contact forms to block spam. It may set cookies and collect device information that is sent to Google, under Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- When you sign in with Google or pay through Stripe, you are taken to their pages, where their own cookies and policies apply. We do not control third-party Cookies.
3) How to manage Cookies
- Browser settings: most browsers allow you to block or delete Cookies. If you disable essential Cookies, parts of the Service may not function properly.
- Device controls: your device may provide controls for local storage and tracking technologies.
- Private mode: some browsers limit Cookies in private browsing mode, but this may affect login persistence.
4) Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) signal. Because there is no consistent industry standard for DNT, we do not respond to DNT signals in a uniform way.
5) Updates to this Cookies Policy
We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
